PAL Suspends Manila–Riyadh Flights Until November 29, 2026: What OFWs Should Know
For OFWs travelling between Saudi Arabia and the Philippines, this means it is important to check your booking before going to the airport.
Which PAL flights are affected?
The suspension covers:
- PR654 — Manila to Riyadh
- PR655 — Riyadh to Manila
The announced suspension currently runs until November 29, 2026. This does not automatically mean flights will resume on November 30. The actual restart will still depend on PAL’s assessment and any further advisory from the airline.

What should affected OFWs do?
If you have an existing PAL booking to or from Riyadh, check your flight status directly through Philippine Airlines and monitor the email or mobile number connected to your reservation.
Do not travel to the airport based only on your original itinerary if your flight falls within the suspension period.
Affected passengers should contact PAL regarding the options available for their specific booking, such as rebooking or other arrangements.
If the disruption affects your scheduled return to work, inform your employer as early as possible and keep copies of your airline advisory, booking confirmation, and any cancellation or rebooking notice.
For workers whose travel plans are connected to contract completion or final exit, it is also important to separate airline disruptions from your Saudi employment and immigration deadlines. You can read ongoing discussions about contract expiry and final exit here:

Is this a Saudi travel ban?
No.
PAL’s announcement is an airline flight suspension affecting its Riyadh services.
Other airlines may have different schedules and operating decisions.
Always verify directly with the airline operating your ticket.
What if you need to return to Saudi Arabia for work?
If your PAL flight is cancelled and your Saudi exit/re-entry visa, employment schedule, or other document has a deadline, contact your employer and airline immediately.
Do not assume that an airline cancellation automatically extends your Saudi visa or employment-related deadline.
